Whether you’re a blogger, a beautician, a boss-lady or anything in between, sometimes you’ve just got to get out of the office to get some work done.

It doesn’t matter if your workspace is a corner office with a view or the desk next to your bed at home, because when the writer’s block (or Buzzfeed quiz distractions) hit, there’s nothing worse than an overly familiar space to kill your creativity. For those of you who claim to always be 100 percent on-it at the office, well, I don’t believe you. At a certain point, everyone needs a change of scenery to spark some inspiration… or just inspire you to get some solid work done. And if you’re lucky enough to be in Los Angeles, you’ve got your pick of places to go away and get the work grind going again.

Sure, you could always just settle for your run-of-the-mill Starbucks (and trust me, I often do). But when in Los Angeles, why not do as the Los Angelinos and enjoy some local java and pastries? Now scroll down, pick a coffee shop to call home for the next few hours, and get going!

With a downstairs situated for full meals and an upstairs adorned with cozy chairs and nooks for serious work, this charming coffee spot is a constant source of inspiration for any blogger, student or lover or trendy places.
Parking situation: There’s a tiny lot in back, but loads of metered street parking in front.

2. Rubies & Diamonds

Rubies and Diamonds Fleur de Linds

Address: 6115 Sunset Blvd. #150, Los Angeles, CA 90028

3. Otus Thai Kitchen & Coffee

Otus Thai Coffee Fleur de Linds

What’s to love: I thought there was nothing that I loved more than their pad kee mao… until I tried the Thai iced coffee. Two words: Life changing. Plus, there’s really nothing that makes me happier than eating Thai food and working on my blog at the same time, and this place makes that dream come true any day of the week.
Parking situation: Metered street parking, no-permit residential streets within walking distance

4. Coffee Commissary

Coffee Comissary Fleur de Linds

Address: 801 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles CA 90046 (with other locations in Burbank, Culver City and Hollywood)
What’s to love: If you love a good celebrity spotting while you work, then this is the place for you. Frequented by entertainment industry professionals of all sorts, this rustic spot is known for its classically delicious lattes, mochas and…. well, everything else on the menu. Plus if you hit it up in the a.m. on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, then you’ll be able to take advantage of the Free Range food truck parked in front. (Do yourself a favor and order the honey Sriracha chicken sandwich, you can thank me later).
Parking situation:
There’s a garage in back, and plenty of metered parking in front.

5. Alfred Coffee {In the Alley}

Alfreds Coffee In the Alley Fleur de Linds
[Disclaimer: Apparently I’m more obsessed with taking selfies with the uber-cool Audrey Hepburn mural on the wall than the actual coffee here. My bad.]

Address: 8509 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069
What’s to love: This highly Instagram-able hot spot is another joint frequented by celebs (and their accompanying paparazzi), with mhmmm-good coffee and an expertly curated medley of treats from M Cafe, Pressed Juicery and Farm Shop. Oh, and then there’s the Compartes chocolate shop situation in the back… all I can say about this place is: Get ready to spend more money on chocolate than ever before on the most delicious (and creative) candy bars out there.
Parking situation: Metered street parking and, if you’re lucky, a few spots on select residential streets.

6. Aharon Coffee & Roasting Co.

Aharaon Coffee Fleur de Linds

Address: 9467 Charleville Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212
What’s to love: With an open and cheery wooden interior, this family owned shop is one of Beverly Hills locals’ best kept secrets. The coffee? Divine. The pasties? Mhm mhmmm. I could work (and eat) here for hours on end, and often have.

7. Intelligentsia Coffee Venice Coffeebar

Intelligentsia Fleur de Linds

Address: 1331 Abbott Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291 (with other locations in Silverlake and Pasadena)
What’s to love: Not to be biased, but Intelligentsia may just have the best coffee in the world. Seriously, more local coffee shops brew they’re blends than you can count. The Venice locale is something of a novelty though, with a wide open space that looks more like an auditorium than a coffee joint. But located in the heart of Abbott Kinney, you can’t come here and not be inspired.
Parking situation: Payed lot in back, and plenty of street parking in the area.

8. Groundworks Coffee

Groundworks Coffee Fleur de Linds

Address: 1501 North Cahuenga Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028 (with other locations in Downtown, Santa Monica, Venice, Larchmont Village and North Hollywood)
What’s to love: Fun fact: This is the coffee shop in which Fleur de Linds was born! Maybe it’s the brick wall interior, the extremely friendly staff or something they put in the coffee, but this place never fails to give me ample inspiration.
Parking situation:
Metered street parking.

9. Lamill Coffee

Lamill Coffee Fleur de Linds

Address: 636 Silver Lake Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
What’s to love: Full disclosure: While I like the sleek interior and the brew here, it’s the warm brioche donut holes with vanilla bean cream that get me running back here all the time.
Parking situation:
 Parking lot in back.

10. Lavender & Honey Espresso Bar

Screen Shot 2016-06-16 at 12.43.12 AM

Address: 1383 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104
What’s to love: I rarely make it out to Pasadena, but this place is worth the trip. One sip of the French lavender breve, and I was in pure espresso bliss. Seriously, I’ve never tasted something so creamy and refreshing all in the same sip. With a quaint and minimalistic backdrop, this place is nothing short of blogger heaven.
Parking situation: Parking lot in back.

11. Blue Bottle Coffee

Blue Bottle Coffee Fleur de Linds

Address: 8830 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232 (with other locations in Venice, Echo Park, Beverly Grove and Downtown)
What’s to love: Sometimes this place gets a bad wrap as the “basic” coffee shop. To that I say: The drinks here are basically perfect, so back off haters. Plus, there’s an incredible mural located in sight of this location, which is something you’ll go gaga for if you’re a wall art junkie like me. [Note: Not all locations offer free wifi.]
Parking situation:

12. Go Get Em Tiger

Go Get Em Tiger Fleur de Linds

Address: 230 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004
What’s to love: Two words of advice: Come hungry. Parking lot available.

14. Coral Tree Cafe

Coral Tree Cafe Fleur de Linds

Address: 11645 San Vicente Blvd., Brentwood, CA 90049 (with other locations in Beverly Hills and Encino)
What’s to love: Yes, this may be more of a lunch spot than a coffee shop, but that hasn’t ever stopped me from ordering a piping hot café mocha and getting some work done here. Then if I get hungry later, I’m already in the perfect spot to grab my favorite grilled rosemary chicken with brie and pear sandwich. All that blogging does work up and appetite, after all.
Parking situation: Valet parking in back (not complimentary), or metered street parking.
